HOW TO PURCHASE

ONLINE PAYMENTS
Click the buy online link next to the product(s) you wish to buy and follow the links. Your payment will be made to the Active Antiques and Interiors Paypal account and an automatic purchase order will be generated. When we have received this order, we will invoice you separately for shipping which will have a link for you to pay online. When we have received your shipping payment, your order will be processed and we shall dispatch your item.

BACS TRANSFER
Email us or call us on +44(0)1733 771319 for BACS transfer both national and international. We shall inform you of our account details. You will be asked to transfer funds to cover the cost of the item and shipping. We allow 5 working days to receive the funds and an extra two days to ensure that the transfer is not retracted. Your item will then be dispatched.

CHEQUE PAYMENTS
Email us or call us on +44 (0)1733 771319 to pay by cheque. We shall send you an invoice which will include the cost of the item and shipping cost. Cheques should be made payable to Active Antiques. We allow 5 working days to receive the cheque. If the cheque does not arrive then we shall assume that you no longer want the item and it will be made available for purchase again. Please allow five working days for cheques to clear.

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING FOR SMALLER ANTIQUE ITEMS
For smaller items we use standard national and international services and if very fragile use a specialist courier. We do not use international economy as this service does not include tracking of parcels and insurance. Shipping charges quoted will include insurance if requested. Customers can request other types of delivery offered by these services for example Special Delivery Next Day or Recorded.
Each item is packed to the highest standard using appropriate packing and appropriate size box.


POSTAGE AND PACKAGING CHARGES FOR NEW PRODUCTS
We use Royal Mail 1st class for all deliveries unless the weight exceeds 2 kgs. In such cases we use Royal Mail standard parcel service. Our postage and packaging rates for one item are included in the item description otherwise they are based on the value of the total order. See below

SHIPPING OF NEW AND ANTIQUE FURNITURE ABROAD
We use a specialist antique furniture shipping company for the delivery of our furniture and larger items abroad. Shipping costs include insurance and relevant customs and handling charges. We can ship furniture by air or sea, the latter obviously taking much longer. We can also track your furniture on its journey. Each product is professionally packed and crated. The item is delivered to the roadside. Drivers will often help to carry inside but they are not obliged. Please enquire about the cost of shipping your item of furniture before you purchase it as it can be very costly. For example a small table shipped to new York would typically cost £400-£500


DELIVERY OF NEW AND ANTIQUE FURNITURE IN THE UK
We use a specialist antique furniture delivery company for the delivery of our furniture and larger items to the UK not including Northern Ireland. You should allow approximately 2 weeks for your item to be delivered from the time of dispatch. The charge will pay for delivery to the roadside. Drivers are usually willing to transport the item into the house but they are not obliged.

ENGLAND AND WALES(BETWEEN 60 AND 120 MILES FROM COLLECTION TO DELIVERY) £75 second item half price

ENGLAND AND WALES(OVER 120 MILES) £95 second item half price

SCOTLAND £120-£140 second item half price

IRELAND £160-£180 second item half price
