All of our Nkuku photo albums and frames are hand made ethical eco-friendly and fair trade. They have been inspired by the traditional skills of artisans throughout Africa or India and combine contemporary design with age old techniques, natural ingredients and sustainable methods of production. This ensures that each product is truly exceptional.
The frames are produced using recycled and natural materials through a handmade process. Aluminium is recycled, bone is a by-product and wood is taken from sustainable forests. All designs are mounted onto a Sheesham wood base creating a luxurious finish.
To protect and preserve your photographs all the albums contain recycled acid-free cotton paper and interleaves. Cotton fibre paper is strong and known to last several hundreds of years without fading, discolouring or deterioration. The albums are also great for sketching, oil painiting, pastels and scrap books.
Our supplier is a registered member of BAFTS. This means that the artisans are paid a decent wage, working conditions are safe and children are not exploited.
